biography

Monique is a womenswear designer based in Bed-Stuy, New York.

to monique, the joy of fashion is matter of fact. her never-ending fascination with the conversation between wearer, designer, and the world fuels her deep desire to explore fashion’s wondrous, ugly, mundane, and surprising corners, and leave a hopeful mark somewhere along the way.

her diverse experience spans across heritage, contemporary, and independent labels in developing a line from sketch to runway to production. with a background in human-centered + graphic design and self-taught in fashion, her approach to work is rooted in curiosity, proactivity, constant practice, and deep respect for collaborators. her versatility allows for both freehand and technical development, imbuing each design/pitch/pattern/project with imagination and careful thought.
